Indeed, my original point was never to say that they're worth playing. I did however point out that you cannot forget about them completely.

A true example of aging would be, Reimu's hair gets longer every game, which is a fact.

o-o... i dun get why ppl find touhou hard, touhou 6, i actually isolated and increased the difficulty value to 4x the original hehehe....
easy = 4, normal = 6, hard = 10, lunatic = 16, mine = 91 LOL (it affects rate of bullets firing and speed of bullets)
xP touhou's not hard at all, (except touhou 11 stage 4 and after, touhou 6 stage 4 and extra, touhou 12 stage 3-6, touhou 10 extra, etc. and all on lunatic)
